Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

  • Prepare invoices, payment requests, receipts, and supporting documentation.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, credit card transactions, and supplier statements.

  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and management summaries.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.

  • Verify invoices, expense claims, purchase orders, and approvals.

  • Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation.

  • Assist with payroll-related finance requirements and employee expense processing.

  • Coordinate with auditors, suppliers, banks, and internal departments when required.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, tax requirements, and company procedures.

  • Provide financial support to hospitality operations, including outlet sales, inventory, wastage, commissions, and operational expenses.

  • Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Two to four years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or retail.

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.

  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organization and time-management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of VAT and local financial regulations is an advantage.

Desired Skill & Expertise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and hospitality accounting.

  • Familiarity with inventory and cost-control processes.

  • Part-qualified ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience working in a multi-outlet or fast-paced hospitality environment.
