Job Description

Job Summary

At The Royal Stables Private Members Club in Abu Dhabi, we are looking for an experienced and service-focused Captain Waiter to lead the delivery of refined and personalized dining experiences for our members and guests. The role provides hands-on leadership on the floor, coordinating the service team and ensuring every interaction reflects the Club’s standards of attentiveness, discretion, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead an assigned section during service, ensuring smooth coordination and consistently high service standards.
  • Guide and support Waiters, Waitresses, and F&B Runners, ensuring clear communication and efficient service delivery.
  • Welcome members and guests, recognize preferences, and provide personalized recommendations throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, beverages, and service sequences.
  • Coordinate closely with Culinary and Beverage teams to ensure accurate, timely, and well-presented orders.
  • Monitor table progression and service flow, proactively anticipating member and guest requirements.
  • Handle feedback and service concerns professionally, escalating where appropriate and supporting effective service recovery.
  • Ensure table presentation, service stations, hygiene, and operational procedures consistently meet Club standards.

Desired Skill & Expertise

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Relevant qualification or training in Hospitality or Food & Beverage is preferred.
  • 2–4 years of Food & Beverage service experience, including experience leading a section or supporting a service team, preferably within private members clubs, luxury dining, or premium hospitality environments.
  • Strong knowledge of elevated dining service, food, beverages, and service etiquette.
  • Confident leadership and team coordination skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Refined communication and member engagement skills with a discreet and personalized service style.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate needs and manage service priorities.
  • Composed, agile, and solution-focused in a fast-paced dining environment.
