Job Description

The Royal Stables Private Members Club in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene standards across the club’s public spaces. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Clean and maintain public areas, including entrances, lounges, corridors, washrooms, dining areas, terraces, and shared facilities.
  • Ensure all public spaces are presented to the Royal Stables’ luxury standards.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, polish, sanitise, and arrange public areas as required.
  • Replenish washroom amenities, supplies, tissues, towels, and other guest essentials.
  • Clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, fittings, glass, mirrors, and decorative features.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas and report cleaning or maintenance requirements.
  • Respond promptly to spills, accidents, breakages, and urgent cleaning requests.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, hospitality, operations, and guest relations teams.
  • Support the preparation and cleaning of public areas before and after events and private functions.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment, supplies, chemicals, tools, and storage areas.
  • Follow all health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and waste-management procedures.
  • Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, lost property, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a professional and discreet presence around members and guests.
  • Assist members and guests courteously when required, while protecting their privacy.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning schedules, checklists, inspection records, and incident reports.
  • Ensure all interactions reflect the Royal Stables’ luxury positioning and service standards.
  • Support sustainable cleaning and waste-reduction practices where applicable.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling member, guest, staff, and operational information.
  • Perform other housekeeping, public area, cleaning, and operational duties as required.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Previous experience as a public area attendant, housekeeping attendant, cleaner, or in a similar hospitality role.
  • Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, private clubs, or premium hospitality environments is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning, hygiene, sanitation, and presentation standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Professional, reliable, punctual, discreet, and service-oriented.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safe working practices.
  • Physically fit and comfortable standing, walking, and working for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience supporting VIP guests, private events, or luxury hospitality is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is highly desirable.
