Job Description

Job Summary

The Beverage Specialist is responsible for curating and delivering exceptional beverage experiences at The Royal Stables Private Members Club in Abu Dhabi. The role combines specialist product knowledge, craftsmanship, and personalized member engagement to elevate beverage service while maintaining the distinctive standards of the Club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver knowledgeable and personalized beverage service, tailoring recommendations to member preferences and occasions.
  • Prepare and present beverages to consistently high standards, ensuring quality, accuracy, and presentation.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, ingredients, and emerging beverage trends.
  • Support the development and enhancement of beverage menus, seasonal offerings, and signature experiences.
  • Conduct tastings and provide engaging product knowledge to members and guests where appropriate.
  • Monitor beverage quality, stock levels, storage, rotation, and wastage to support efficient operations.
  • Share beverage knowledge with the wider F&B team and contribute to ongoing product and service training.
  • Ensure responsible beverage service and compliance with hygiene, safety, and applicable operational standards.

Desired Skill & Expertise

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Relevant qualification or certification in beverages, wines, spirits, mixology, or hospitality is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of beverage service experience, preferably within private members clubs, luxury dining, or premium hospitality environments.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, premium beverages, and contemporary beverage trends.
  • Refined member engagement skills with the ability to provide confident and personalized recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail, presentation, and product quality.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of beverage cost, inventory, upselling, and revenue opportunities.
  • Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and creating distinctive beverage experiences.
