Job Description

The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing revenue growth and optimizing profitability across all revenue-generating channels in the hotel. This role entails setting and executing pricing strategies, managing inventory, and analyzing market data to drive revenue performance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep analytical expertise and a strong understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Revenue Management:

    • Develop and implement revenue management strategies and pricing models to maximize room revenue and market share.
    • Conduct regular revenue analysis and forecasting to inform business decisions and strategic planning.
    • Monitor competitive market trends and adjust pricing strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Inventory and Pricing Control:

    • Oversee the distribution and management of room inventory across all booking channels.
    • Set room rates, packages, and promotions based on forecasted demand, market conditions, and competitive intelligence.
    • Manage and optimize distribution channels, including OTAs, brand website, GDS, and other online and offline channels.
  • Performance Analysis:

    • Track, analyze, and report on key revenue metrics, including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and market share.
    • Regularly review and interpret revenue performance reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support revenue and profitability goals.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations teams to align revenue strategies with overall business goals.
    • Provide training and guidance to sales and front office teams on revenue management principles and upselling techniques.
    • Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotions and campaigns that drive occupancy and ADR.
  • Technology and Systems Management:

    • Utilize revenue management software (e.g., RMS, CRS, PMS) to manage data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology solutions that support revenue management processes.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in revenue management systems and processes.
  • Market Intelligence:

    • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis, including pricing, positioning, and market trends.
    • Keep abreast of industry changes, new technologies, and best practices in revenue management.
    • Develop market segmentation and customer profiling strategies to enhance targeting and pricing precision.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for all revenue streams, including rooms, F&B, and ancillary services.
    • Ensure that revenue targets align with overall financial goals and provide regular updates on performance against budget.
    • Identify opportunities to increase incremental revenue through upsell programs and ancillary offerings.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Revenue Management within the hospitality industry
  • At least 3–5 years in a leadership or multi-property revenue management role
  • Strong knowledge of hotel distribution channels, pricing strategies, and market segmentation
  • Experience working with major hotel PMS, RMS, CRS, and channel management systems.
  • Proven track record of driving RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy growth Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to senior management and influence key stakeholders.
