Job Description

The Demi Chef de Partie – Pizza Maker is responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas in accordance with established recipes and standards. This role supports the kitchen team in delivering consistent, timely service while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation within a hospitality environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, including dough preparation, shaping, topping, and baking, following standard recipes
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all pizza items
  • Assist in the daily mise en place and preparation of ingredients required for pizza production
  • Monitor food quality and ensure all items are prepared and served to the highest standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station, including ovens, work surfaces, and tools
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients in line with food safety standards
  • Assist in stock control, including monitoring inventory levels and minimizing waste
  • Follow all hygiene, health, and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Support senior chefs and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in training commis chefs or junior staff when required

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or high-volume kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of pizza preparation techniques, including dough handling and baking methods
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Team-oriented with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
