Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Cluster Sales Leadership

  • Support the Cluster DOS in leading the sales function for Business Bay and Waterfront Tribute Collection, ensuring a unified cluster approach.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the sales team (cluster executives, managers, coordinators), providing direction, coaching and performance feedback.
  • Assist in setting individual and team targets by segment and monitor progress regularly.
  • Ensure sales colleagues are fully briefed on hotel products, packages, rates and promotions across the cluster.

2. Revenue & Commercial Strategy

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the cluster sales & commercial plan in line with annual budget and business objectives.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management, Reservations and Marketing to optimise mix of business, pricing, and distribution.
  • Identify need periods for both properties and drive targeted tactical campaigns to fill compression gaps.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive set activity, and demand drivers in Business Bay, Maritime City, and wider Dubai to anticipate opportunities and risks.

3. Account Management & Business Development

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts (local, regional and international) for the cluster, ensuring maximum share and long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively source new business across target segments (Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Government, Long Stay, OTA/Wholesale, as applicable).
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, FAM trips and presentations for both properties.
  • Negotiate and renew corporate and group contracts in line with hotel strategy and rate guidelines.
  • Represent the cluster at industry events, trade shows, roadshows and networking activities as required.

4. Brand & Standards – The First Collection & Tribute Collection

  • Ensure all sales activities, proposals and presentations reflect The First Collection and Tribute Collection brand positioning, tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all facilities, services, outlets and unique selling points of both properties to effectively position them with clients.
  • Champion guest-centric and partner-centric behaviour, ensuring feedback from key accounts is shared internally to enhance product and service.

5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with the Cluster General Managers, Revenue, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Reservations to align on strategy and initiatives.
  • Support coordination of group and event handovers between Sales and Operations, ensuring clear communication of client needs and contractual details.
  • Partner with marketing to develop sales tools, collateral, digital campaigns and joint promotions that support the sales strategy.

6. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare and review weekly and monthly sales reports, including production by segment, key account performance, pipeline, and activity reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the CRM / sales system (accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, production).
  • Ensure all contracts, RFPs, rate loading and documentation are completed and filed according to company and brand standards.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • 5–7 years’ hotel sales experience with 2–3 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Proven success in revenue generation, key account management, and business development.

  • Strong knowledge of Dubai market dynamics, including Business Bay and Maritime City.

  • Expertise in corporate, MICE, leisure, government, OTA/wholesale segments.

  • Skilled in leading, coaching, and developing sales teams in a cluster environment.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in pricing, distribution, and sales planning.

  • Excellent client-facing, negotiation, presentation, and networking skills.

  • Proficient in CRM/sales systems, reporting, contracts, RFPs, and rate loading.

  • Highly organised, results-driven, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
