The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items for hotel guests or facility use. They operate and maintain laundry machines, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute items, ensuring hygiene and quality standards are met.
Sort all laundry items by color, fabric, and cleaning requirements.
Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Use the correct amount of detergent, bleach, and other cleaning chemicals.
Inspect items before and after cleaning for damage or stains.
Fold, stack, hang, or package clean laundry appropriately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Track and record laundry loads, usage, and inventory as required.
Follow company hygiene and safety standards at all times.
Occasionally assist with pressing, ironing, or mending laundry items.
Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is an asset but not required.
Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
