The Food & Beverage Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service to guests. The role involves supporting the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, or room service area while ensuring high standards of hospitality and cleanliness are maintained in accordance with hotel policies and brand standards.
Greet guests warmly and assist them in a friendly and professional manner.
Present menus, take orders accurately, and ensure timely service of food and beverages.
Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials, wines, or promotions.
Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing requests or complaints.
Maintain a positive and engaging attitude to enhance the guest dining experience.
Set up, clear, and reset tables efficiently following service standards.
Assist with mise-en-place and ensure the service area is well-organized and stocked.
Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and professional manner.
Support banquet or event service setups as needed.
Follow all hotel SOPs and service sequences consistently.
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and equipment at all times.
Handle glassware, china, and cutlery with care.
Comply with hotel health and safety regulations.
Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth service operations.
Communicate guest preferences or feedback to the team for service improvement.
Participate in team briefings and training sessions as required.
Previous experience in F&B service, preferably in a hotel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.
Diploma or certification in hospitality or related field preferred.
