As the first point of contact for guests, the Hostess plays a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. You will greet guests with warmth and professionalism, manage reservations and table assignments, and coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Welcome guests with a friendly and courteous attitude upon arrival.
Manage reservations through the hotel system or reservation platforms.
Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide guests with wait times when necessary.
Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
Communicate guest preferences, special occasions, or dietary needs to the service team.
Coordinate table turnover with servers to optimize seating efficiency.
Monitor restaurant entrance and maintain an organized reception area.
Ensure menus are clean, up to date, and stocked at the host station.
Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints in a professional manner.
Support restaurant team with administrative or side duties as assigned.
Maintain high grooming standards in line with the resort’s image.
Comply with resort policies, health, and safety regulations.
Proven experience as a hostess or front-of-house staff in a restaurant, preferably in a hotel/resort.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms) is an advantage.
