Job Description

As a Hostess at Ciel, you are the face of our dining venue — the first smile, the warm welcome, and the lasting impression. You set the tone for every guest’s experience with grace, poise, and attentiveness. From managing reservations to guiding guests to their tables, your role is to ensure a seamless and elegant start to their journey, reflecting the hospitality standards of a world-class, luxury destination.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with a welcoming smile and professional demeanor as they arrive.

  • Manage and coordinate reservations using the booking system, balancing walk-ins and bookings efficiently.

  • Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and offer a brief introduction to the venue and its concept.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hostess desk, entrance area, and waiting space.

  • Communicate with the service team to ensure smooth seating flow and guest satisfaction.

  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with courtesy and discretion, escalating as needed.

  • Keep an accurate record of guest preferences and VIP details to support personalized service.

  • Support promotional initiatives and provide information about special events or offerings.

  • Coordinate with other departments for group bookings, special events, and private functions.

  • Ensure adherence to all grooming, hospitality, and safety standards.

Desired Skill & Expertise

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a hostess in a luxury hotel, fine dining, or high-end venue.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a naturally friendly disposition.

  • Immaculate personal grooming and professional presentation.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable using reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, or similar).

  • Ability to remain composed and courteous under pressure.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
